Feb 3, Mar 2, Can't be right!!! Apr 12, I found that on my Mac Pro dual display setup, the cursor has to be moved to the top of the screen on which the full screen mode was initiated. My OSX menu is on my left monitor. When the screen sharing application has its window on my right monitor on the moment I enter fullscreen mode, the left screen is used to display the remote computer and the right monitor is greyed out. Moving the cursor to the top of my left monitor has no effect, even though my local OSX menubar is there, "behind" Screen Sharing and regardless of where the Screen Sharing is displaying its content at that moment.
Jun 20, 7: Jun 21, 1: You have to move the cursor to the top of the screen on which Screen Sharing is running, AND you have to hover there a LOT longer, it seems to me like more than a second. Jun 23, 7: Only then did the menu bar appear and I could exit screen sharing full screen.

Aug 22, 9: I had the same problem same situation. Jan 23, 6: The reason why it seems impossible to exit full screen is that it is running in another workspace. The screen sharing menubar that should be activated when you move the mouse to the top of the screen is buggy. If you have a trackpad, use a three-finger left or right swipe to move back to your local workspace ie your local computer.
The very need for this post clearly underscores a larger issue.
Also when they abandon long loved programs like I-DVD why not liscense it to another so we might continue to use it? They would continue to profit from it and millions of users would not be abandoned. Oh and Tim, we would so buy a bigger battery phone. We used to a carry freaking Walkie Takie sized phones around so…….
This drives me crazy, it was unnecessary, and I keep forgetting the work around. It happens when answering emails, the screen zooms into Full size. What next please? Simply move your cursor to the top edge of your screen and leave it there for a second.
The menu bar will appear: Full screen mode just sucks. You cannot simply tab back. What ever happened to consistent key commands, btw? I got stuck in the slic3r app 3D printing tool in full-screen mode. Or some type of broken window maximum size mode. Quitting the app worked, but it would restart in the same maximum sized window.
Nothing was working. Exit app and restart and it was cleared up. There is also nothing useful in the menus — why remove the standard set of window operations? Simp-le as the dickens, IF you know how to do it. Otherwise, you have to go through this research process. Name required. Mail will not be published required. All Rights Reserved.
